CopyTrans is intended to backup and retrieve data from Apple devices, including iPods, iPads, and iPhones. It is specifically oriented towards multimedia contents, like video and audio. The tool has an easy-to-use interface; in fact, it is not more difficult than using the system’s built-in file manager. It has a series of panes that allow organizing the contents by category, playlists, genres, artists, and albums. And when you select one of the media items, you get information about it, including title, artist, album, year and rating. Unfortunately, it cannot play the files, not even for previewing their contents.
The tool is quite efficient in viewing and managing the contents stored in your devices. Moreover, it lets you create a backup of the files either in iTunes or even a local folder. In this respect, it is great that it allows avoiding some of the difficulties of copying data from this kind of devices.
Backups can be performed in two modes: smart and manual. A smart backup works automatically and is the advisable way if you do not have advanced computer skills. It is ideal to synchronize your device with the local iTunes library. Manual backup, in turn, requires more effort on your part but can produce more customized results, since you are in control of every single stage of the process. It is required when you want to transfer the contents of the device to a folder on your machines. more
